Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV): Third Pillar to Solar PV Sector?
A new study by TERI has found that India's reservoirs have 18,000 sq. km of area with the potential to generate 280 GW of solar power through floating solar photovoltaics (PV) or 'floatovoltaics'. The report for the study, prepared under ETC India, also says that Maharashtra has the largest potential, of 57GW, to create solar energy through floatovoltaics.
