World Sustainable Development Summit 2019 – 11 to 13 February, 2019
 
 
We are glad to announce the 2019 edition of World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) with three days of stimulating discussions on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The five broad themes that form this year’s agenda are: climate finance, sustainable agriculture, mobility and transport, energy transitions, and clean oceans. The plenary sessions centered on these will provide a platform for deliberations that are goal oriented and steered towards providing pragmatic solutions to existing problems.

Summit highlights also include parallel break-away sessions addressing myriad issues; an exclusive corporate conclave for business leaders to mainstream environment sustainability into their business agenda; and an international exhibition for global innovators to showcase their green technologies.

Energy Transitions India - Developing pathways to a low-carbon economy
The Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) aims to foster adoption of low-carbon pathways for development. In India, the commission is led by TERI as the secretariat and in its first year has been focussing on decarbonising the electricity sector. It has been doing this through demand analysis, research into technological options, and having a discourse with industry stakeholders and key policy makers on the feasibility of increasing the share of renewable penetration in India's energy mix.
