TERI SIGNS MoU WITH GLAZING SOCIETY OF INDIA (GSI) |

The MoU envisions promoting applied research around glazing systems and their implementation in building envelopes. The MoU was signed on 23rd February 2021 between Mr. A. R. INAUGURATION OF GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMP (GSHP) INTEGRATED WITH SOLAR PV SYSTEM IN KIMIN, ARUNACHAL PRADESH |

TERI successfully implemented a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) integrated with Solar PV system in Kimin, Arunachal Pradesh at Community Health Centre under the aegis of Arunachal Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APSC&T) funded by Department of Science and Technology.
The pilot technology addresses both heating and cooling loads and demonstrates energy saving of about 30% without creating any negative impact in the atmosphere.
The facility was inaugurated by Shri Nabam Rebia, Rajya Sabha MP on 22nd February 2021.

ONLINE TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING (OTCB) CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME: DEVELOPING TREATED WASTEWATER REUSE FACILITIES |
|

|
TERI, along with ICAP Trust, iDeCK and International Water Association (IWA)-India with the support of National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, organized an Online Training and Capacity Building (OTCB) Programme on ‘Developing Treated Wastewater Reuse Facilities’ from 08th to 22nd March.
The 19 session paid programme trained participants on various aspects of setting up wastewater reuse infrastructure facilities such as legal and policy issues, funding options, managing contracts, government approach, marketing strategies, consumer perspectives, and more.
As water has a crucial role in a sustainable future, the certificate programme not only aimed to be beneficial for training participants from a technical/project preparation standpoint, but also intended to sensitise them to the challenges faced by the water sector.

ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMME ON ‘INTRODUCTION TO GREEN BUILDING PROFESSION- SKILL TRAINING AND MANAGEMENT’ |

Current times have presented before us challenges we might not have anticipated. Regulated assembly of people at one place have also affected the way we did impart and gain knowledge every day. This calls for an update in the mode of learning.
Sustainable Habitat Programme, TERI, conducted the ‘Introduction to Green Building Professional: Skill Training and Management’ program on 11th and 12th February.
We envisage it to be the first step to becoming a green building professional, for final year students, fresh graduates and young professionals seeking to understand the green building industry better.

Visit by Professor Arild Gustavsen, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway (NTNU) to Mahindra-TERI CoE Lab
Professor Arild Gustavsen and his colleagues visited the MTCoE Lab on 6th February 2020 and were received by Mr. Sanjay Seth, Senior Director, Sustainable Habitat Program. The teams held a fruitful discussion to understand the on-going testing and research work that the MTCoE lab and the Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (ZEN) research centre at NTNU is currently undertaking.
