July was defined by sharp policy impact and critical conversations on energy transformation at TERI. We hosted the second offering of the TERI-IHC Lecture series, "Beyond Borders: How Decentralised Energy is Redrawing the World Map." On the ground, our research proved instrumental in shaping the newly notified Delhi Electric Vehicles Policy 2.0 (2026). Elevating grassroots solutions, we also hosted the National Inception Workshop for the Eighth Operational Phase of the Small Grants Programme. TERI hosted the National Inception Workshop for the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP-OP8) in New Delhi on 31st July, 2026, formally launching the two-year initiative alongside MoEFCC and UNDP India. As the National Host Institution, TERI will guide grassroots climate stewardship across 51 districts in the Aravallis, Himalayas, Western Ghats, Coastal regions, and the Northeast, translating global goals into local community resilience.

Dr Vibha Dhawan, DG TERI, was honoured with the 'Outstanding Professional Award 2026' at the 17th Agriculture Leadership Conclave, held in New Delhi on July 9, 2026. Presented by the Agriculture Today Group, the award was conferred by Smt Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Dr Dhawan was selected for this recognition by the National Awards Committee, chaired by the former Chief Justice of India, Justice P Sathasivam.

TERI, the Kisan Chamber of Commerce (KCC), and Value Network Advisory (VNV) formally signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, on July 9, to collaborate on the development and implementation of a carbon project in Haryana. This partnership marks a significant step toward promoting climate-smart agriculture and sustainable land management.

TERI, with the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, hosted a panel session titled "Industrial Decarbonisation, Clean Tech & Green Finance" at the CarbonShift India 2026 Summit in New Delhi. Moderated by Mr Arupendra Nath Mullick, Associate Director TERI, Senior Leaders at the event emphasized that India's future competitiveness hinges on strengthening carbon accounting, accelerating industrial decarbonization, supporting MSMEs with technology and finance, and operationalizing the domestic Carbon Credit Trading Scheme.

Reinforcing its commitment to building a future-ready green workforce, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) inaugurated the Bengaluru training centre under Future-In-Charge Phase 2, an expanded skilling initiative focused on developing industry-ready talent for India's fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure ecosystem. The newly inaugurated training centre at TERI's Southern Regional Centre in Bengaluru marks a significant milestone in extending the programme's reach across southern India.
