TERI ushered in the New Year by hosting multiple events, launching its flagship magazine, TEDDY, and preparing for its biggest event – The World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS).

World Sustainable Development Summit 2024


The 23rd edition of the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) will be held from February 7-9, 2024, at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

WSDS 2024 will be convened under the umbrella theme of ‘Leadership for Sustainable Development and Climate Justice’ and aims to highlight the crucial role visionary leadership plays in steering the world towards a path of sustainability.

In the backdrop of ever-growing conflict situation, planetary crisis, and sliding back of key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Summit will assemble thought leaders, policymakers, and experts to engage in meaningful discussions, share innovative solutions, and formulate strategies that prioritize not only environmental sustainability but also social equity.

As we gear up for the 23rd edition of our annual flagship event, we present you the theme video of the Summit, where climate experts, world leaders, businesses, and youth converge across continents to Act4Earth.

TEDDY 2022/23 launched


TERI launched the 38th edition of its flagship publication “TERI Energy & Environment Data Diary and Yearbook (TEDDY)” and organize Experts’ Panel Discussion to discuss key energy and environment related issues, major initiatives and practices.

Puducherry Climate Change Cell, Department of Science, Technology and Environment in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), organized the 2nd Capacity Building Workshop on Green Budgeting for the U.T. of Puducherry.

Workshop on Roadmap for Fleet Electrification of Department of Posts, India


TERI organized a stakeholder workshop on “Preparing Roadmap for Fleet Electrification of Department of Posts, India”, with an aim to discuss the key findings, technical terms of reference for the procurement of EVs, and draft EV roadmap with key stakeholders.

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) organized a panel discussion on 'COP28 Debriefing: Contextualizing COP28 Outcome and way forward for COP29' at its headquarters to understand the complexities of COP decisions, explaining key results, and leading the way forward on Global Goal on Adaptation.

Wastewater Treatment and Reuse: Challenges and Solutions in India


TERI and VITO, along with Indian and European Partners, have executed a joint project titled "Pavitra Ganga: unlocking wastewater treatment, water re-use and resource recovery opportunities in India". The project aims at showcasing innovative, cost effective and energy efficient solutions for the treatment of (unregulated) drains in India.

TERI-IIT (ISM) Seminar on "Just Transition: Future of Coal and Pathways to Low Carbon Footprint


TERI, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, hosted a one-day seminar. The focus of the seminar is on the "Just Transition" in India's coal sector, exploring pathways to a low carbon footprint while ensuring social and economic well-being in coal-dependent communities.

TERI along with Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, UGC and Ministry of Education is organizing GO4Youth to strengthen environmental conscious behaviour and attitude of youth, thereby enhancing their awareness about climate change, pollution, waste management, and more.
