As the mercury rose over the country ushering in summer, TERI surfed the warm winds with a sense of pride. From a 5-star GRIHA rating for green infrastructure (developed by TERI) being awarded to the new Parliament building to a host of contributions to the G20's policy briefs, May was a month of spreading our wings wider for a brighter tomorrow.

The newly inaugurated Parliament House has been awarded with 5-stars under the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA), a rating tool developed by TERI to assess sustainability features and design of a building.

Harnessing the Potential of Bio-Resources to Produce Low Carbon Bio-Hydrogen

TERI and Capgemini jointly launched a whitepaper on- 'Harnessing the Potential of Bio-Resources to Produce Low Carbon Bio-Hydrogen' to provide a detailed landscape of the varied bio-processes available for hydrogen production. The whitepaper expands on the opportunities and challenges associated with the different bio-processes and advocates for the incorporation of modern technological solutions to make large-scale hydrogen production commercially viable.

Working closely with India’s G20 Presidency and the Think 20 across the themes of energy transitions, and environment, climate and sustainability, TERI contributed to the development of five policy briefs on sustainable lifestyle, green development, climate finance, sustainable and climate resilient infrastructure, circular economy, and resource efficiency.

Technology-based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP)


TERI flagged off its 4-week long virtual Solar Technology-based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) in association with the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The structured programme aims to train the selected trainees on necessary skills and further their knowledge to run a business in solar technologies.

Brahmapuram is the only landfill that is a bone of contention in Kerala, where solid waste management, otherwise is decentralized and systematic. Plans are underway to solve this crisis that the Kochi Corporation is facing after the Brahmapuram incident.
