Green agenda 2019:
Sustainability imperatives for India's government

India is constantly dealing with the challenge of balancing its economic growth and environmental sustainability. While it has already begun the transitional process towards larger uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency, several other challenges – air pollution, water and waste management to name a few – remain to be resolved. TERI proposes a Green Agenda for the newly elected government, highlighting the choices and decisions it should prioritize to ensure that India’s growth story is rooted in sustainability.

This Green Agenda covers five thematic areas – air pollution, energy transitions, resource efficiency, water management, waste management.
