So, depending on the type of lamps that will be included in calculation, the outdoor lighting load
to be powered by solar energy will vary. Therefore, if calculation is done as per option 1, then solar-
powered lighting load will be 4.58 kW. If calculation is done as per option 2, then solar-powered
lighting load will be 9.05 kW.

Note In case installation of a solar photovoltaic system has been planned on site to meet the requirements of GRIHA Criterion 18, the
electricity generated from this PV plant can also be used to power exterior lights. However, the solar energy requirements of Criterion 6
are independent of the requirements of Criterion 18.
