Landscape water requirements for each month can be calculated using the online calculator.
Below is a snapshot of the calculator and a sample calculation.
This calculation has been done for the month of January. One has to feed requisite data for ET
rate(m/day), choose the month, fill the respective canopy area for the various plant types such as
lawn, native, newly planted, trees and others, if any. Choose the irrigation system efficiency for each
category of plant type based on the proposed irrigation plan to calculate the per day and monthly
landscape water requirements for the design case.
Similar exercise is carried out for each month and one finally gets the annual monthly requirement
and percentage savings.
