Review checklist
1. Check whether the refrigerants mentioned comply with the moef recommendations.

Possible errors
1. Some of the equipments used in the building might not be mentioned.
2. the purchase order of the equipment might not be attached along with the certificate.
3. the refrigerant used for each equipment might not be specified.
Appraisal 27.3.3
the fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers installed in the building are free of halon, as per
clause 27.2.5.
Required documentation
1. Certificate from the fire fighting consultant/manufacturer demonstrating that the fire
suppression systems do not contain any halon. also, the substitute of halon being used in
the fire suppression systems should be mentioned.

1. Check that the certificate from the fire fighting consultant is duly signed and descriptive
regarding the fire fighting systems used.
2. Check that the certificate is duly signed.
3. Check that the substitute of halon used is mentioned in the certificate.
Possible errors
1. the certificate might not have the signature of the fire fighting consultant.
2. the halon-substitute might not be in compliance with the moef recommendations.
3. the manufacturer brochure might not be attached.
Point allocation
one mandatory point should be awarded to the project in case all the above appraisals are
complied with.
