Appraisal 28.3.1

water quality conforming to the iS standards, as per clauses 28.2.1–28.2.5 (2 points).
Required documentation

1. water flow diagram, popularly known as water balance with relevant details on quantity
and schematic details of water supply from various sources, treatment, reuse, recharge, and
distribution of fresh water, and treated wastewater/harvested rainwater.
2. Characteristics of wastewater and expected characteristics after treatment, as claimed by
the supplier in the prescribed format.
3. Characteristics of freshwater (with or without treatment) for potable application in the
prescribed format.
4. report/certificate from the local municipal authority for municipal water or certificate from
an nabl accredited laboratory on the quality of potable water.
5. drawings and other details of capacity and components of the water treatment plant
(potable water), if applicable.
6. quality checking frequency and sampling plan for potable water, in case of water treatment
plant for potable water.
Review checklist

1. review the water optimization plan and check with the details given in criterion 21 on
water reuse.
