4. Certificate from the architect mentioning the total surface parking and its compliance with
the mandatory clause. the certificate should mention the total surface parking provided
and the requirements as per the local building by-laws.

Review checklist

1. Check the provision of surface parking based on the latest building by-laws for the city in
which the project is located.
2. Cross-check the total paved/soft paved/shaded/high Sri coated areas with the previously
mentioned numbers and drawings.
3. Cross-check the various areas used in calculations with the site plan.
4. the certificate from the architect should be duly signed and should mention the total
parking space allocated for surface parking in the project.

Possible errors
1. the total surface parking might exceed the recommendations of the city building by-laws.
2. the areas mentioned in the calculations might not correspond with the site photographs
and drawings.
3. the certificate from the architect might not be duly signed.

Point allocation

one point to be awarded if the project complies with appraisal 5.3.2 and meets the surface parking
requirements.
