Objective

to prevent the mixing up of segregated waste before processing or disposal.

24.1 Commitment
24.1.1 allocate a separate space for the collected wasted before transferring it to the recycling
/ disposal stations.

24.2 Compliance

the following documents are to be submitted
24.2.1 narrative along with photographs/plan indicating space, locations, and capacity of the
storage area.

24.3 Appraisal (maximum points – 1)
24.3.1 Provision of space for hygienic storage of segregated waste, as per clause 24.2 (1 point)

Provision of space for hygienic storage of segregated waste, as per clause 24.2.

Required documentation

1) a narrative along with a supporting documents (Cad plan, site management plan, facility
manager’s plan) and photographs showing exact areas identified for the storage of the
waste that is segregated and collected from the individual households.

the designated areas should be
• of a calculated area with a volumetric capacity to contain waste over the coming years as well,
• hygenic / clean / of adequate capacity / without any potential of spillage,
• away from the general public areas,
• towards the perimeter of the site (boundary wall), so that it is accessible from the outside by a
collection truck / recycling dealers / and so on,
• of complementary material suitable for containment, for instance - storing.
