are performing as predicted and match the information provided at the time of award of
provisional griha rating.
2) Certificate stating that the energy audit has been conducted by an energy auditor approved
by the Bureau of Energy Eiciency, Government of India.

Review checklist
1) Cross check the data provided in the energy audit format with the data submitted at the
time of award of the provisional griha rating.
2) energy consumption data should be for at least 12 months.
3) Check if the ePi value has been calculated correctly.
4) Check the difference between the actual building ePi and the ePi calculated based on
simulation results. deviation is allowed to an extent such that it does not affect the number
of points achieved by the building under criterion 14. if the actual ePi value is found to
be higher than the allowed ePi band (for number of points awarded), check if justification
for the increased ePi has been provided along with the audit report and whether the
justification is adequate.
5) for thermal comfort audit, check that the hourly temperature and relative humidity profile
data has been provided for at least one whole day (24 hours).
6) Check whether the readings for hourly temperature and relative humidity have been taken
for at least 20% of all representative spaces of the building. these spaces should include the
major living areas of the building.
7) Check whether the illumination levels have been given for all building areas.
8) in the water and waste audit format check if the data provided in the audit format is
matching the information provided at the time of award of the provisional griha rating.
9) Check whether the audit has been conducted by an energy auditor approved by the bureau
of Energy Eiciency and water and waste audits have been conducted by the competent
authorities.

Possible errors
1) operating schedule of the building may differ from that used for calculating ePi based on
simulation results.
2) for thermal comfort audit, the temperature and humidity data provided may not include
the major living areas of the building.
3) for visual comfort audit, illumination levels for certain building areas may not have been
provided.

Point allocation
if the energy systems and water and waste management systems of the building are performing as
predicted and match the information provided at the time of award of provisional griha rating, this
mandatory requirement is met.
