2. a detailed list of the species that existed and the species that have been replanted on-site.
the trees that are replanted should be of the same species as the ones that have been
cut. this is to ensure that the habitat that existed before the building was constructed is
restored as much as possible.
Review checklist
1. review the detailed list of trees identified on site (tree survey list) along with drawings to
identify those that shall be
• protected/preserved,
• transplanted, and/or
• cut.
2. review the landscape plan showing areas where the trees that were cut were replanted in
the ratio 1:3 (please note that the trees replanted should be of the same species with no
deviation).
Possible errors
1. trees replanted on site to compensate the loss of vegetation may not be of similar species
as the ones that were cut.
Points allocation
one mandatory point will be awarded if the trees that were cut have been replanted in the ratio of
1:3. the replanted trees should be of the same species with no deviation.
Appraisal 2.3.8
trees/plants replanted within site premises in excess of 25% than the minimum requirement, as per
clause 2.2.9 (1 point).
Required documentation
1. landscape plan to show that plantation in excess of 25% than the minimum requirement
has been carried out.
