2.3.6 Preserve existing vegetation by means of non-disturbance or damage to the trees and
other form of vegetation, as per clauses 2.2.6 and 2.2.7. or
2.3.7 trees/plants replanted within site premises in ratio of 1:3, as per clause 2.2.8 (1 point) –
mandatory point.
2.3.8 trees/plants replanted within site premises in excess of 25% than minimum requirement
as per clause 2.2.9 (1 point).
Non-applicability condition proposed (for tree preservation and protection clause only): Sites that are devoid of trees.
In case of projects where the project sites are completely devoid of trees, there are no trees to preserve or transplant.
Thus in such cases, the Appraisals 2.3.6, 2.3.7 and 2.3.8 do not apply.
Note if mandatory points are not complied with, other points in this criterion will not be considered.
Evaluation procedure
Appraisal for 2.3.1
ensure proper timing of construction with respect to rain, as per clause 2.2.1.
Required documentation
1. detailed Pert chart/gantt chart/project planning schedule as approved by the architect/
PmC and client, clearly showing that all civil/structural activities are avoided during the
monsoon season, and that alternative activities (interior works, finishes, utilities) have been
assigned to those periods.
Review checklist
1. review the Pert chart or gantt chart (or any other project scheduling and tracking chart)
showing the full project timeline to check the months during which construction has been
carried out.
Possible errors
1. Pert/gantt chart is not updated (or is not in sync) as per actual activity on site.
Point allocation
Point for this appraisal to be awarded along with appraisal 2.3.2
Appraisal 2.3.2
Confine construction activities to pre-designated areas, as per clause 2.2.2 (1 point)
Required documentation
1. detailed Cad plan showing out-lay of construction activities with respect to all the existing
features on the site, such as trees, slopes, natural vegetation, contours, water bodies, and
so on. the drawing must also include demarcated areas likely to be disturbed during
construction.
a Cad drawing showing the following features
i. Site plan of existing buildings (if there were any that existed at the site before
commencement of construction for the new project)
